Lazy Sunday Recommendations

There have been a couple of things that happened to me recently that caused me to add this.  I watched a few movies on Netflix, listened to some songs, and I moved in this week, causing me to scour Etsy for some new housewares.  So here are a few recently noticed moments of fabulosity.
At least for the moment, I recommend you listen to Don't Dream it's over by Crowded House.  Do you remember how great this song is?!??

On to the flixXxx... I'm in love with campy ridiculous 80s comedies especially when they involve fabulous bitches acting and looking like the creme de la creme... If it sounds like you might enjoy something like this please look on.  I've taken some screen shots to get yo saliva glands GOIN!

1) Soapdish, 1991

 Starring Sally Field as a veteran Soap Opera star afraid everyone's trying to replace her with a new younger vixen on the show, Kevin Kline, as a possible love interest with history, Whoopi Goldberg, as a head writer for said Soap, Robert Downey Jr, another writer and producer who is trying to get rid of Sally Field in the attempt to sleep with a younger castmate, and Terri Hatcher ...  GOD THOSE OUTFITS!

2) Evil Under the Sun, 1982 (Based on Agatha Christie's Poirot so you KNOW its gunna be fun) Starring Diana Rigg as the queen bee Arlena(In horrified disbelief she exclaims "God's Teeth!" in one of the many gem moments), Maggie Smith as the owner of an exclusive hotel on an island in the Mediterranean hosting a gathering of wealthy eccentrics, and Peter Ustinov in a goofy lovable portrayal of Hercule Poirot, the detective.  Insanely equipped in the Wardrobe Dept.

 Can you say Ad Campaign?

Lastly,  I've been looking through etsy to maybe find some Midcentury furniture etc, and I stumbled upon a few Ashtray Gems.  For those who do and don't smoke it's a really cute way to keep things semi neat.  A great thing to have near an entryway to throw down your keys, or maybe at your bedside to hold coins and the earrings of the day.  Here are a few reasonably if not criminally underpriced pieces.
